Ontario is no longer mailing reminders to drivers that their driver’s license is expiring. The same also applies for license plates, health cards, and Ontario Photo Cards. Get automated emails, text messages, or phone call reminders 60 and 30 days before it’s time to renew your licence plate, driver’s license, health card, or Ontario Photo Card.
Remember, one of your liability cards (pink slip), as well as the vehicle registration, must be in your vehicle while it is being driven. Your liability cards and important documents.
Under present legislation, failure to carry proof of insurance in your vehicles for inspection by a police officer could result in a substantial fine even if you are insured. Please keep a copy of the insurance certificate in your vehicles at all times.
